KMEH is new, designed and built specifically for equine treatment. KMEH includes many features to ensure that your horse gets the best care!

The stalls are roomy, with large windows and lots of natural light. We have installed cameras in the stalls so the veterinarian can look in on your horse even when they are away from the clinic!

We've taken steps to make the treatment environment as safe as possible. For example:

  • Our stocks are the strongest, safest stocks on the market. Access panels are strategically placed so we can open areas we need to reach and then close them again. Heavy padding on all sides reduces the chance of injury while providing comfort.
  • Our surgical suite is completely padded with a rubber floor. We use inflatable surgical 'tables' designed for horses, that we adjust by adding or removing air so our patient is positioned comfortably while remaining in the best position for the procedure. We can even alter lighting to improve recovery from anesthesia.
  • Our fully-stocked pharmacy, lab and radiology are on site, so we can test and treat your horse without delay.

And, if your horse needs to stay overnight, our 5 large paddocks are level and clean. Most patients are on food restrictions, so the paddocks are surfaced with clean traffic bond gravel, not grass or dirt. This also makes it easy to monitor food intake and manure output.

We have nine roomy, bright stalls.
This horse has just had an anesthetic. As it takes effect, Dr. Gieche and his technition use the fold-out padded wall to lower him safely to the ground for surgery.
